Voice Band App Reviews

This is an amazing app!!!

It is so much fun to play with and you can play new beats without having the instrument in front of you!!!

LOL

Now me and my perfecionisms gonna have to come up with some solid piece of music!! I would like to see autotune, bongos and a screaming metal guitar added. Id purchase those, for sure.

Help

It wont work, it looks really cool but whenever I hit record it just stays at 00.00. I have a mic in but it doesnt work

Not recommended.

I wouldnt recommend this to anyone just looking for an entertaining app to pass time or just to have fun.....Confusing and unenjoyable. Thumbs down. :(

Innovative

This has the potential to change my life as a musician. I always think of melodies that i wanna hear on guitar and I usually forget it by the time I can play it on one. I have some suggestions that would make this product revolutionary

I like everything but the icon!

Its really fun, cool, and could be useful... Has a hard time catching every note as I have a softer voice ...but doable. I LIKE this app! Just...change the weird app pic so that when I see it on my phone I will remember how much I like the app itself and come back to it ;)

Not tracking well

This app is on my iPad 1. It really has issues with tracking. Even if I sing a constant note in a quiet room using the bass guitar the sound auto tunes itself up and down. I try Turing auto correct off but to no change. It is hard to get a song going as it is very hard to change the key using only your voice. Maybe if you were a pro and knew every pitch your voice makes then it would be easier. Right now I change the timbre of my voice and the app produces something entirely off the key I was trying to replicate. Perhaps with more time working in the app I could figure out the best way to come up with a chord progression but as of now it is extremely frustrating to do. The kick drum snare slider also is backwards. Or at least backwards to me anyway. If you slide the slider over to the snare drum side it produces bass drum maybe that how the slider is supposed to work but to me it makes more sense to slide to the snare to make snare. It is noted that the iOS mics are very sensitive and can be clipped. The app tells us this and we need to sing into the screen. Perhaps it would benefit the system if there was input level adjustment to counter this. Other apps such as amplitube offer this option to help with feedback. I see a lot of potential and fun but it just doesnt work as a pick up and go app like it should feel. I understand that it is amazingly hard to track and create programs like this thats why the three stars. I gave a lot of credit for effort. If I was going to be a jerk and rate on ease of use and results I would have to rate a 1. Sorry. I just cant seem to get anything consistent. I watched all the you tube video for the song making and it is known that there can be great songs made with this app. Its just too bad that not everyone can do this right out of the gate. If it was amateur friendly as in any Joe could sing and create good sound then this would be awesome. Maybe cut back the sensitivity of detection. I always try to emulate pitch/octave to get sound but the app doesnt work like that so its hard for my brain to find the right note. I expect if I sing into the app it will mimic every thing my voice is doing and just turn it into a musical instrument. Like those robot voice changers except it would convert to synth. This app was a test and it wont work for me. Of it works for you good deal. Have fun.

Good idea, bad implementation

Vocal-control of instruments is a powerful idea, the app suffers from two major problems: poor pitch tracking and bad sounds. Done right, this concept could be a lot of fun.

Cool

Love it, but it could use micro scrub. I get a little impatient waiting to record something at the end of a song. It would be sweet.

Wish it was worth 5 stars

Man the sound really is HORRIBLE!!! and it wont track my voice well at all...wish I had gotten it free instead of paying cuz its not worth one red cent... maybe I was over expecting but...regardless it was a huge disappointment. Its no help to me or my songwriting at all and Id be better off trying playing real instruments (even though I have no talent) it would probably sound better. Im really sorry it was definitely an awesome idea just with poor execution...oh well. If you just wanna mess around its pretty cool!

Wow.

At first I really hated this app because of its bad pitch tracking and queer sounds. I just kept it cause of the cool power chords. Now Ive suddenly discovered that using it, I can turn my makeshift homemade drumset into something amazing, thanks to the awesome hihat. This app is POWERFUL, it just needs to be fine tuned, and a lot of things like pitch tracking need to be improved upon. Also it could use a drums preset. But it is unlike anything I have ever seen before. thanks for that

OMG Its GREAT

I just down loaded this app. Its the best app I ever had. Im a professional singer and Ive been looking all over the place for something that could turn my voice into an instrument. So so much fun. PLEASE keep updating this app, a mixer would be so great and more instruments , may be a regular grand piano sound but even that is asking for too much after having such a great app... also please make a way to quantize the drums and other instruments, that would make the app extra awesome

Voice band

Very nice to play, I like it!

MY FAVE APP RIGHT NOW

Those of you dropping 1 star ... Its not the app its the OPERATOR! I admit there is some latency w the instruments but its adaptable. My favorite part is the overlapping of sounds and or my own harmony. I also LOVE THE REVERB!!! ive made some really amazing Acapella songs! If youre giving this app 1 star its because you have no talent.

So much potential

Like a lot of the other people who have reviewed the app, I am a professional singer, but I also play multiple instruments (cello, piano, guitar, bass, some brass and woodwinds, etc) and teach voice and most of the instruments mentioned. I had high hopes for this app as a fun thing for my kids, as well as a teaching tool. What it has turned into is something that I spent at least 15 dollars on after downloading it, buying multiple instruments that are way too touchy, and dont record the pitch that it sung. I tested this, thinking maybe I was off key, but I set the app to "chromatic", turned off autotune, plugged in headphones so the tuner wouldnt pick up multiple tones, and my separate tuner said my voice was on pitch, but still, the app was picking up something different. I hope the developer intends on continuing to update this app, because the potential to be a pro tool and a 5 star app is high...but not while these and other issues persist. As it stands now, this app,is more like a frustrating toy that never quite does what it is supposed to do.

ABSOLUTLY AMAZIN

This is a great game, million of dollars it is worth!!!

Looks scary but is awesome!!

The idea is great. App is total fun if you can sing.

Wow!

I got this app while it was FREE but its totally worth $2! Its a great music app, even for those who are not musically talented... Plus you can use it 2 listen in on conversations with the mic... (not suggested)

Acapella

It can overlap! Thats why I just tap the mic, so I can sing acapella! And make music with my voice like mike tompkins!!

Mostly making messes

Read those directions. Right? I just make messes. Hmmm.
