Play instruments with your voice in real time! Voice Band introduces a revolutionary new way to make music - with only your voice. Featured on G4TV’s Attack of the Show (with Olivia Munn).

* Imagine creating an entire song with only your voice. *

Just sing into your phone and hear Voice Band transform your voice into an instrument in real time. Voice Band doesnt simply alter your voice to sound like an instrument, it actually plays a real sampled instrument which follows what you sing. Want to jam to a guitar solo with your favorite band? Voice Band lets you play along with your ipod library, too.

Voice Band features a recorder which lets you build a song, one instrument at a time. Auto pitch mode helps you stay on key, and if youre a musician, youll appreciate the adjustable scale and metronome. Voice Band also includes a built-in effects processor with distortion, reverb, and delay.

Whether you’re a musician looking to instantly capture an arrangement idea, or a music fan looking to make your own music for the first time, Voice Band will inspire and challenge you.

Pros and cons of Voice Band app for iPhone and iPad

Voice Band app good for

This app is the most fun Ive ever had with a music app! The pitch tracking is amazingly fast and accurate when you figure out the scale settings, and for musicians, its completely usable as a tool to get musical ideas down quickly. But even if youre not a musician, its just plain fun to create these little masterpieces with just your voice as input. The drum feature is really cool - I discovered that you can get really good results by drumming on a table with your fingers instead of singing. I also love the hand drawn graphics - gives it an organic human feel, which matches with the organic nature of tracking a human voice. Highly recommended!
Love this little app. Try it! Its the most fun you can have for 3 bucks...
Its a really cool and fun app. Takes a bit to get the hang of it . Would love it if they add some other instruments or acoustic guitar or tambourine in the future Great job guys!
It is not so easy but a little practice helps It would be cool to have the auto harmonizer on the voice too. Thank you for this great app!
Absolutely great idea, a perfect way to record your riffs on the go and add lyrics on top of them! There are just some primordial things that would be awesome if implemented: - A timeline where you can go back to a certain part of your song instead of having to listen to it all over again - A way to insert previously recorded songs at a certain point in the timeline - A loop function to avoid having to repeat the same riff/drum beat and missing a single note that would scrap the rest of your song - Of course, different patches for the instruments would be appreciated Then finally, it might be harder to make this one, but a pitch tracker that could tell you what note is sung, so you can adjust your pitch and verify if youre on the right note, because for most people using the app is pretty tough since we are not pitch perfect and often off key. But keep up the good work, Ive been waiting for an app like this for quite a time.
This is worth it for the sheer fun of tapping on a test with my fingers and hearing kick and snare come out of my headphones in the drum mode! You dont need to go Bah Bah for drums, just tap on a desk. Freaking brilliant! Love it! Going to pick up iGOG next due to its mic mode that gives even greater control over drum sounds! I have always wanted to play with sound replacers for drums (I am a real drummer myself) for those times when I have a table to tap on, but not a real kit. But the desktop ones rely on complicated and costly sequencer programs. This marvel is portable and real time even with the iPhones processor. Fantastic!! I am going to love those in those times that I want to kick out double bass patterns with my fingers that I just cannot do on a real kit :)) Thanks so much, for this! Also, the threshold slider is a great setting! Thanks! Gary

Some bad moments

On the video, this app looks amazing. However, its not as easy as it looks. It is difficult to know exactly where to sing into on the phone for the best recording. As well, the instruments can often sound distorted and, unless Im way off key, which I am quite sure Im not, the notes arent always picked up accurately. As well, trying to do that loud and soft "bah bah" (or whatever) to differentiate between snare and bass drum is very, very hard. It would be nice if you could remove just one instrument track if you mess up. You cant. You have to erase the whole song and start over if you make one screw-up. Cool idea, even awesome technology, but not good enough to work the way it looks like it should.
Thought it would be cool. But. Its complete garbage. Sounds like crap. Dont waste. Ur money in this garbage. If it was free then I would say try it.
Terrible app. Save your loot. Watching the video is deceptive. Your money is better spent on coffee. Boo.
All the good reviews are frauds. This app does not work at all. Please stay away and keep your money!
Cannot find pitch at all. I put the synthesiser to the max to no prevail. Its not even worth crap free OR paid
The worst f$&@ app i ever user and the worst part of it is that i paid for it, the sound is horrible dosent work!!!!
